Phoodieur is a cloud-based local search and dining guide that enables users to explore restaurants visually through mobile photo-sharing and social networking. Each restaurant profile, on the mobile and web app, include geotagged and categorized photos of the restaurant's dishes, ambiance and exterior views so that users can browse through restaurant profiles visually and find the dining experience they desire. A distinct feature of Phoodieur is the user's ability to not only have her own personal photo stream of dishes she may have enjoyed in the past, but also the option to create picture collages, which act as bundled photos with a custom theme, of other users' shared photos. This allows the user to keep track of other users' photos, in an artful way, while preserving her personal photo stream for direct posts. Phoodieur is co-founded by a Cornell School of Hotel Administration undergraduate with a background in design and finance as well as an engineering professor specializing in computer science and electrical engineering with degrees from MIT and Stanford.
