PhotoTreks are bespoke photography tours that are designed to be both culturally immersive and rewarding for avid photography enthusiasts. Participants get to experience the true essence of a destination – its people and their way of life – in a manner that emphasizes its photogenic quality. We schedule our location visits at the best times and in the best light to maximize the chances of great imagery.PhotoTreks are personally led by Smile Magazine's multi-awarded director of photography. Lester V. Ledesma (www.skylightimages.info) has written and photographed Asia for over 10 years, and it is this expertise that he brings into each PhotoTrek. PhotoTreks values photography learning as much as the experience of a place. Our trips include nightly photography critiques and discussions. Being a working travel photographer and photo-editor, Lester knows image making from the planning, execution and editing stages. To prepare participants for the trip, each PhotoTrek begins with an illustrated orientation and a photography lecture.
