Photovoice Project Details
Starting from the Photovoice methodology, we have chosen photography as a way of expressing and processing the experience. Participants in our workshops become narrators of their own story, overcoming barriers related to verbal communication thanks to the immediacy of the images.Creating these photographs, each participant has the opportunity to understand reality and acquire awareness, both inside and outside of himself/herself, according to personal perspective. Group comparison then offers the possibility to reflect on personal experiences and points of view, integrating them with those of others.The camera becomes not only a way to observe oneself on an intra-psychic level, but also an empowerment tool, which supports self-realization and personal growth, opening up paths for development.
