The Physicians Association of North Texas (formerly the IPA of Denton County) was formed in the mid 1980's. The PANT feels that a significant service to our community is provide by the "individual practitioner" and small groups of doctors. The increasing cost of health care, the complicated and changing regulations and the very rapid and powerful growth of large corporate practices creates a possible threat to the survival of the individual and small group practices. Mission Statement: To promote and protect the practice of medicine by independent physicians and preserve the sanctity of the physician-patient relationship and maintain physician autonomy.Services include:*Group insurance contracting*Delegated credentialing*Group purchasing program*Office staffing services*Quarterly newsletters*Website (giving membership rosters and managed care fee schedules)*Help in resolving disputed claims*Education*Alerts
