Sports - Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
The Jeff Christman Pickleball vs Cancer Invitational is an annual doubles Pickleball tournament played in Minneapolis to honor those who we have lost to cancer and to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Jeffery M. ChristmanJeff was a loving, caring and hilarious father, husband, son, uncle and friend. He passed away as a result of pancreatic cancer on January 25, 2019. His memory will live on through his vast network of friends, family and more friends. As many of you know, Jeff had difficulty sitting still. As a result of this restlessness, he took up a few hobbies and near the top of the list was Pickleball. It was one of the few activities he considered a "real sport" and he enjoyed it so much, he painted lines for a pickleball court in his backyard the summer before he died. Below, you will find pictures capturing the creation of the pickleball court, action on the court and candids of Jeff that epitomize his distinct, remarkable and, oftentimes, peculiar personality.
