PickleJar is a Bangalore-based Media platform founded by veteran Journalist Vasanthi Hariprakash. It aims to help people and organisations tell stories via audio, video and text.Since its inception in 2016, Picklejar has curated exciting film festivals featuring powerhouse artists from the Indian film fraternity such as Late Shri Smita Patil and ace-director Shri Hrishikesh Mukherjee, in Bangalore. It extended its presence to Chennai with a film festival dedicated to travel and welcomed aspiring new-age filmmakers such as Bejoy Nambiar, Padma Kumar and Vinayak Kulkarni. In 2021, owing to the pandemic, PickleJar went virtual and curated online film festivals for lockdowned-students from several prestigious institutions highlighting issues such as mental health, water pollution and rejuvenation. PickleJar's other arm is its content creation and award-winning work for Indian Election with consistent coverage for the 2018-Karnataka Legislative Assembly election, 2019- Loksabha Elections, and the recent West Bengal Legislative Assembly election in 2021. Its grass-roots coverage is published on reputed platforms such as the Daily hunt, The Wire, The News Minute, CNN News 18 and Deccan Herald.
