Beginning in 2004, Pilot Flying J built a competition to showcase, and spotlight the abilities of professional transport drivers in the racing. To honor the efforts of such outstanding drivers, Pilot Flying J launched the Pilot Flying J Truck Driver Challenge. Representing teams throughout IndyCar, NASCAR, and the NHRA, professional transport drivers navigate road courses in a racing hauler, which are built to simulate real-life scenarios. From Charlotte, to Indianapolis, to Pomona, transport drivers are the first ones out and the last ones in for their teams. In addition to bonding over their profession, drivers compete for prizes up to $1,000 each event, and a grand prize of $30,000 which goes to the season's best driver in each series. Pilot Flying J is proud to present these competitors with the chance for camaraderie, and the chance to compete in an arena that is all their own. Leading the way for teams such as Andretti Autosport, Cruz Pedregon Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing, transport drivers serve as ambassadors to their sport and to their industry, and Pilot Flying J is proud to support them.
