Based in USA, Pistis Art is a for-profit social enterprise founded in 2019, with the aim of preserving and supporting the global craftsmanship, and redefining the value of traditional craft and folk arts in the international marketplace. We weave social missions of women employment, poverty alleviation, cultural preservation, and environmental sustainability into the core of the business. We seek inclusive solution to tackle the global challenge to prosperity and development by engaging women and young artisans' business in meaningful economic participation.Currently, Pistis Art is working with women artisans based in rural areas of Shanxi Province, China. Through the making of traditional hand-embroidered insoles-- a Chinese folk art with of a thousand-year-old, we empower the marginal community by financial strengths, revive the lost handcraft skills, and revive the cultural heritage. As we are committed to a sustainable future, our textile material is upcycled and adapted in an artistic function.Starting March 2020, Pistis Art is accepted as a member of the Nest Artisan Guild, a global network of more than 700+ artisan small to medium sized enterprises based in over 100 countries around the world.
