Pitch Films was founded in 2005 by cousins David Brocca and Albert Brocca in Los Angeles CA as a boutique video production company specializing in short form content for the web. Pitch Films has created content for MTV Networks, Icon, Spike, IFC, Comedy Central, IFILM and Atom Films. The company has also produced award winning short films and received a "Special Distinction" Award at the 2007 Independent Spirit Awards for the film "Independence". Currently the production company has transitioned from short form content to feature length non-fiction with the documentary "Knox Mine Disaster". A film about the anthracite coal mining tragedy that occurred on January 22, 1959 in northeastern Pennsylvania.
