Place of Origin is India`s 1st brand of speciality local foods. Started in 2015 by Ashish Nichani & Sudarsan Metla, the company initially launched www.PlaceofOrigin.in as an online marketplace for speciality local foods. The marketplace was the first of its kind in India and grew to host over 600 iconic local brands with 5000+ unique SKUs - the largest such collection of speciality food. Building on the success and insights gathered from the digital venture, Place of Origin then launched its own range of speciality local foods online and offline in modern trade retailers across India. Place of Origin brand products are now available in Foodhall (Future Group), Godrej Natures Basket, Star Bazaar, More, Bigbasket and 150+ Category A stores across India.
