PlaceOnEarth was established in 2012, as a wholly independent Landscape Design Consultancy to provide Clients with a level of service based on experience, trust, pragmatism and innovation. The Practice was established by Nick Wright, a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute since 1987 and an award winning Landscape Architect, with the express aim of rediscovering his passion for pure Landscape Design. Nick has over thirty Years' experience in Landscape Architecture, beginning first in Local Government in 1981 before moving into the Private Sector in 1991. During this time, Nick has worked on a vast array of projects across many sectors, both throughout the UK and overseas but keeping his roots firmly in the North East of England, and in Whitley Bay where he grew up. Nick's belief is that the most successful projects are based on strong interpersonal relationships and trust, insisting that each and every Client is given his personal time and attention throughout the life of any given project and aiming to not only match a Clients aspirations but to raise them, at the same time as achieving best value and sustainable landscape design solutions. Based in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, PlaceOnEarth is also part of a network of trusted, experienced and like-minded practices and individuals throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, the Leef Landscape Network. Balancing one another's complimentary skills, we come together as workload or resources dictate, ensuring that Clients needs and deadlines can be accommodated no matter what complexity any particular project may have. By working together we can also operate collaboratively across a wide geographic base.
