Climate change is already impacting us in unimaginable ways triggering a chain of events hitherto unseen. For the scale, complexity and uncertainty we are faced with, we can no longer afford to work in silos.Non-discriminatory and unbiased in its impact, this challenge will need a diverse and inclusive work force and a complete overhaul in the way we think, plan and act.Plan for Earth has been set up to act as a catalyst for systemic change in climate change adaptation and resilience. We need to connect policy to real world decision making right up to the practitioner level. Whatever we do locally will have consequences for rest of the planet necessitating the need to collaborate at every level. Plan for Earth believes in a partnership model implementing ‘systems thinking' and driving innovation across projects, cities and countries, and coordinating efforts between engineers, environmentalists, scientists, corporations, politicians, innovators, activists and communities.It's time to leverage the work done in scientists' laboratories and the corridors of power, and build upon the social media buzz and presentations and case studies at conferences. It's time to see climate change as an opportunity to leave behind assets for our future generations, not liabilities.
