Plan-ItElaine provides consulting on a wide range of services for youth ages birth to 18 years in the public library. For the past 34 years, Elaine Meyers has created new library departments (Programming Department, Carroll County Public Library, Maryland), new leadership positions (Children's and Teen Coordinator, Phoenix Public Library and Coordinator Arizona Leadership Academy, Arizona State Library), new national initiatives (Public Libraries as Partners in Youth Services, Urban Libraries Council, Illinois) and new library spaces (First Five Years Area, Burton Barr Central Library, Phoenix Arizona). She is an author, adjunct faculty for graduate library schools at the University of Arizona and UCLA. Her passions center on making the public library the most valuable and innovative community resource possible and on creating maximum learning environments for youth and those who serve them.
