The mission of Plant Chicago is to develop circular economies of food production, energy conservation and material re-use; empowering people of all backgrounds to make their cities healthier and more efficient. We run programming at The Plant, a repurposed industrial building on Chicago's south side. We demonstrate and experiment with closed-loop farming/building technology, run education programs, and manage a year-round farmers market.
