PLANTSPACE is the manufacturer of Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) and lactides. PLA is a high molecular-weight polyester made from renewable resources. Nowadays it is one of the most promising biodegradable plastic due to its mechnical properties, biocompatibility and biodegradability. PLA is based on agricultural (wheat growing), biological (fermentation), and chemical (polymerization) sciences and technologies.PLANTSPACE has an annual capacity is estimated as 30,000 tons per year 2023. The raw material used is GMO-free wheat. GMO materials are genetically engineered and cannot occur in nature. The PLA portfolio includes standard PLA grades, high-resistant grades offering thermal stability for a wide range of applications.
