Plastic Loop is a student science & technology group founded in 2019. Our mission is to participate and promote the transition to a circular economy, specifically in the domain of plastic management. Our club has developed a recycling system for plastics consisting of the collection, shredding, and extrusion of plastics - three phases that we hope to accomplish locally on the ÉTS campus. The machines, which are currently in the testing and fine-tuning phases, will serve to fabricate various products, including filament for 3D printing, injection molding, furniture, and much more. In addition, Plastic Loop collaborates with corporate partners on current environmentally related business concerns, launched a survey of Québécois initiatives for the recycling of plastics and strives to reduce pollution at ÉTS. In June 2021, Plastic Loop was nominated for the prize ForcesAVENIR in the environmental division. We are currently recruiting - contact us if you would like to help us achieve our mission! The future of plastics is in your hands!
