While earlier films do exist, 2009 witnessed the birth of PPP's (Plastic Planet Productions) first YouTube video. Culminating from a love of film, LEGO and fun, PPP was destined to exist.Most known for his film titled "The Dandelion", PPP's appeal rests in an innate ability to transform simple ideas into visually stunning, entertaining stories that feature LEGO bricks in all their glory. Inspired by the "grandfathers" of comedy sketches, like Charlie Chaplin, and the cartoons of old, think Tom and Jerry, nearly all of PPP's creations rely purely on the visual nature of film to communicate the story. Seldom do you hear dialogue in his films. He believes film is best when it's visually appealing. By enforcing this limitation on his work, he's produced some amazing short stories, and dare I say, truly stunning pieces of art.While PPP seldom finds time to animate anymore, his interest remains and he continues to participate in the brickfilming community through involvement in BrickVideo, a company he helped co-found that offers brickfilmers an outlet to share their creations with other LEGO enthusiasts and fans.
