Plata Capital was founded in early 2012 by Marcelo Paracchini and Fabio Tsubouchi, former CEO and CFO of the Veremonte group in Brasil. They were both successful in the public and private sector, leading the partial consolidation of the Real Estate(Bovespa: PDGR3) and Agribusiness (Bovespa VAGR3) sector in Brasil as well as creating a lean real estate developer with over R$ 500MM in assets. A highly skilled set of professionals with wealth experience was established to create a firm that could differentiate from traditional real estate developers and Investment funds. At Plata Capital, we have senior professionals at Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate Law and at the same time, BTS specialist, REIT developer, credit/rating manager and a M&A team. Due to the very complex nature of the Real Estate sector, the specialization/creativity is taking place. We are able increase our M&A valuation by pricing a hidden Real Estate asset differently from our peers; We may help on turning around a Developer by receiving a plain landbank; We are developing landbank from speculative investor through equity kickers and so on.
