Play it Forward Academy is completely free-for-students soccer training academy based in Mississauga, Ontario. Our goal is to pass on love and knowledge of the beautiful game that has been gifted to us by former coaches and mentors to upcoming youth talents. We strive to provide youth players with technical and tactical training that will be advantageous to their long term personal development. To achieve this, we implement both basic as well as advanced technique and skill based drills and exercises used by world renowned professional clubs and academies such as the Nike Academy and the Toronto Lynx Soccer Club."Play it Forward", our academy name, is a play on words of the phrase "pay it forward". We made this connection to distinguish the core aim of our academy from majority of the other academies out there. Our central model is "players teaching players", by this we mean our trainers are all currently competing at a competitive or semi-pro level in the sport and are passing on the knowledge they have received from their mentors and coaches to the younger generation. This is a progressive and self sustaining model in the sense that we have one main task for each of our trainers to complete: They must train a maximum of 3 players and they must recruit 1 more competitive level trainer to the program. The result of this is an exponentially growing network of players and trainers that will benefit from the Play it Forward Academy program.
