Established in 2016, Plinth publishes artists' objects and merchandise with institutions of note and in the belief that beautiful, interesting and affordable things should be for everyone. We commission unique products, limited editions and multiples from the world's leading contemporary artists, designers and photographers – from Turner prize winners to Magnum Photographers. Our focus is always on beautiful and affordable design, an equation which resonated when our Wellcome Collection range was nominated as a finalist for ACE's 2018 Product Awards, or our Magnum Photos range was selected for an art and design pop-up at Le Bon Marche in Paris in 2017. We've worked with the Mayor of London's Culture Team for the past two years on major public art projects – joining forces with David Shrigley in 2016 and Michael Rakowitz in 2018, we published a new limited edition and ranges of artist-designed products to accompany their Fourth Plinth commissions.To celebrate 100 years of women's suffrage, we joined forces with Gillian Wearing and designer Bella Freud in creating a new capsule range; a portion of the profits from its sale are donated to the Fawcett Society. Artist collaborations are at the heart of what we do, and our limited editions include pieces created by Michael Craig-Martin, Cornelia Parker, Ding Yi, Julian Opie and Beatriz Milhazes. Most recently, we're moving into the exciting world of print-on-demand. Collaborating with leading international museums and institutions such as Magnum Photos to explore how to open up their image libraries using print-on-demand technology, our aim is to enable customers to apply iconic artwork and imagery to a huge range of products. Notebooks to iPhone covers, t-shirts to tote bags can all be customised in a way which is affordable, delivered quickly and with the provenance of reputable and world-renowned organisations.
