Based in Sussex, not far from Brighton, Plumpton College offers the only English-language degree courses in Wine Business & Wine Production in Europe.Having launched the first wine course in 1996, today, it is recognised as an international centre of excellence in wine training, education and research. With a team of 12 specialists delivering unique courses to over 100 undergraduates, 30 Masters students, and the English wine industry (through the WineSkills training initiative and WSET courses) it is also home to an award-winning successful commercial wine brand, Plumpton Wine Estate, which is produced in Plumpton's own 10-hectare vineyard.The Wine Division now has seven principal activities:Four full-time undergraduate courses in wine business and production ( delivered in association with the Royal Agricultural University) Nationwide viticulture apprenticeship.Advanced Technical Certificate in Viticulture is the equivalent of an A Level, aimed at 16-18 year olds, but is open to all ages.
