PLUR Angels:Is a peer-to-peer harm reduction organization that monitors the general well being of participants while promoting awareness and education of health and safety at music, art, and public festivals.PLUR Angels provide event goers with basic safety items as well as a direct line of communication with the medical and security staff. Our mobility throughout the event puts us in a position to increase the number of observations and reports in the field. Case after case has demonstrated that participants are more comfortable communicating information about themselves to our volunteers, which has a direct influence to secure them with the help they need.PLUR Angels doubles as a safety program and a driver for education in these lasting collectives that are built. Our organization helps to facilitate a festival goers' freedom, novelty in experience, and connection. We are able to be what the participant needs at that time: a link to help, a friend... an angel.By helping a person we may not necessarily change the world, but we may change the world for that person. There is simply no substitute. Education of health and safety is ultimately the most successful approach to achieving harm reduction in our community.PLUR Angels strive to achieve a safe environment at all events through education, both in person and with our social media platforms. At events we promote safety tips concerning hydration, safe/consensual sex, and hearing protection while handing out water, condoms, earplugs, etc.We reach an average online audience of 25,000 weekly, which allows us to promote safety and education even when we are not at events. We have dozens of volunteers committed to our daily advancement and success of our social media platforms.
