I made my first Velvet Pumpkin in the Fall of 2001. I love to entertain and wanted to create a unique Fall table centerpiece that would "Wow" my guests. The response was so overwhelming that my small hobby of making Velvet Pumpkins with real stems for family and friends launched into my own business. Plush Pumpkin was officially founded in the Fall of 2002. Just like real pumpkins, these beautiful velvet pumpkins are unique by virtue of their stems. Each one has a real pumpkin, gourd or squash stem attached. Every pumpkin is handmade in Minnesota and embossed with the PP logo on the bottom. Thanks to the enthusiasm of all who possess them, I have been able to grow from a kitchen table to a large studio space and, from one store to hundreds throughout the country.
