PMC Designs provides workshops in using precious metal clay (PMC) to create your very own fine silver jewellery.Precious metal clay is an incredibly exciting and versatile jewellery making material which is similar to using modelling clay, but when fired turns into actual fine silver (99.9% pure). Even if you have no traditional metalsmithing skills, metal clay allows you to create beautiful, well-constructed art jewellery. The Introduction to Silver Clay workshop is ideal for beginners, although both the FingerPrint Jewellery and Origami Silver Workshops are also designed for those who have no previous experience. We also offer workshops in bead making and ring making for those who have some experience of using silver clay. Our 'Diploma in PMC' is those who want to take making silver jewellery further, including setting stones, adding dichroic glass, filigree, patina, enamelling and adding gold. Projects begin with beginner level through to advanced.Small friendly workshops, run by Lesley Howard - a qualified assessor, with C&G 7303 qualification in Adult Teaching. Lesley is a Certified Art Clay Silver Instructor, a member of the PMC Guild and Guild of Jewellery Designers.
