The PMI Southern Caribbean Chapter (PMI SCC) is a chartered component of PMI since 1999 and was registered as a non-profit organization in Trinidad and Tobago in 2001. There are currently over 500 members representing government, energy, banking, insurance, manufacturing, training/education, and services and consulting. PMI SCC provides the following regionally: Creates awareness of the profession and PMI Connects you with a local network of professional expertise from various industries through meetings, activities and educational programs Reaches out to local governments and organizations Hosts local and regional events/conferences/seminars for local practitioners Offers networking with learned and experienced local, regional and international presenters and participants Shapes the future of Project Management and makes a positive impact at the Caribbean level Facilitates examinations at a local centre Publishes a members newsletter every other month Creates opportunities to learn, network and earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) toward maintaining credentials Joining the PMI SCC is not only a way to take charge of your professional development and enrich your work experience; it also expands your professional network, improves your knowledgebase and helps to hone your leadership skills.
