PNUC Renewable Energy Co-Operative Inc. implemented a solar project from start to finish at Port Nelson United Church in just over two years. Planning started taking place in May of 2012; the project was completely finished and operational by December 2014. In 2015, the solar panels generated over 78 megawatt hours of electricity.Our co-operative seeks to increase energy awareness and knowledge within the co-operative, the United Church of Canada, and the surrounding community. We continue to seek new membership and opportunities to grow and expand, utilizing the skills and expertise available to us through the church and community to ensure greater success for renewable energy.
