Pocket Explorers links technology with the real world to overcome the barriers preventing children playing and learning outdoors. The app engages children to explore nature by using the digital world as a tool to ignite passion and learning of the great outdoors. The platform uses gamification to open up the natural world and create a new generation of young naturists who are inspired to learn about the outdoors and will take ownership of local spaces as they grow creating lasting benefits to the earth and to individual health and wellbeing. Pocket Explorers makes it easier for children to become part of nature and increase the time they spend learning and paying outdoors by enabling users to create animated characters to log progress of trails, adventures, exploration and learning. Children build up their own encyclopedia to reference throughout their adventures enabling them to log journeys, dropping pins, uploading photo's & video's and sharing experiences with other online characters, family and friends. Activities are exercises designed to help members gain new skills experience or improve their existing expertise progressing through the Pocket Explorer ranks to become an Ultimate Explorer.
