After spending a few years living and working in Thailand I realized that there was no easy way to self-study Thai effectively. The most common method was a textbook and CD which is far from an ideal way to study a language.In 2016 I began work on a series of interactive Thai language learning apps with many advantages over traditional textbooks including:• Tap-to-play audio allowing you to study at your own pace and repeat words and sentences as needed• Randomly generated quizzes that are unique each time you take them (great for repeatability)• Portability - study from any location at any time since the apps are on your phonePocket Thai currently has three unique apps targeting different groups of Thai language learners:• Pocket Thai Master (launched October 2017) - teaches reading, speaking, and culture for serious students and foreigners living in Thailand• Pocket Thai Reading (launched February 2018) - teaches reading for students that already speak Thai but never learned the Thai script• Pocket Thai Speaking (launched July 2018) - teaches speaking and culture essentials for travelers and anyone focused on learning just the basics
