Pole 2 Plate provides a new platform for consumers to gain access to to their local resources (i.e. our incredible California fisheries) through our partnership with local fishermen who commit to practicing sustainable fishing. The immediate need to implement sustainable measures to protect our precious resources should be recognized by all! The inspiration for Pole2Plate comes from the recognition that educating people on how to balance our consumption of fish with the most sustainable fishing methods will lead to a much healthier ecosystem and population. We must begin this journey to transition away from indiscriminate large scale net fishing, seining, dredging, and all other practices that target juvenile fish and result in millions of dead species caught in the middle. Pole2Plate disrupts these practices as we connect you with seafood that is fresh, local, and sustainably sourced.
