Polito Sailing Team is a team of seventy students from all academic areas with the common goal of designing, realizing and sailing skiff prototypes, small sail boats dimensioned by R3 class regulation: maximum length of the hull 4.60 m and huge sails of 33 sqm. In five years of activity the team has produced three different sail boats distinguished by a high percentage (80%) of Renewable/BIO materials from natural sources and several publications in the fields of Fluidodynamics (CFD), Structural analysis (FEM) and Dynamics (VPP).
