Mission:Pomegranate Lab creates web apps that promote a growth mindset in teachers and students. We build tools that reimagine traditional classroom practices instead of just digitizing them. Pomegranate Lab was founded on the belief that everyone is capable of learning and growing. Founded and run by teachers, we champion the needs and goals of fellow teachers and care about their students as if they were our own. We aim to fundamentally shift the conversation in education from one based on performance to one based on improvement.Credo:Our first responsibility is to teachers because we believe that great teachers are the only way to sustainably improve education. The tools and professional learning we create for teachers must be of high quality.We are responsible to students by creating tools and methodologies that produce effective habits of mind and emphasize their humanity and value. We are also responsible to the parents of students by fostering stronger ties of partnership and involvement in the learning community. We are responsible to schools and school leadership by providing better insights and communication to lead their learning communities.We are responsible to our employees. We must respect their dignity and recognize their merit. Compensation must be fair and adequate, and working conditions must be reasonable. Employees must feel free to make suggestions or complaints. There must be equal opportunity for employment, development and advancement for those qualified.Our final responsibility is to our shareholders. Business must make a sound profit, and new products must be researched, developed, and marketed.
