POMCERT was created to stimulate work on research, consulting and innovation programs within field of environmental protection and energy in Pomeranian Region. In its present form, POMCERT is set by the resolution of senates of three Universities: Medical University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Technology and University of Gdansk.The goals of POMCERT are being achieved through:Education - Organization of conferences, training and other forms of education in the field of environment and energy. Training programs may have a general character as well as they could be adjusted to individual requirements of clients.Consultancy - Assistance to companies (mainly small and medium-size enterprises) and local authorities in the field of energy and environmental protection and in applying for EU structural funds for development of environmental infrastructure and services.Research - Promotion of networking and cooperation between departments, national and international institutions within environmental field. Development of laboratories and research infrastructure within university departments. Integrating industry in the applied research and development projects.
