Pooches & Pinot is run by Healesville couple Jeff & Hels, who take up to 6 friends, with their dog (up to 2) on a private wine tasting tour around the Yarra Valley. Guests are collected from their accommodation (in Melbourne/the Yarra Valley or Dandenong Ranges) and taken to all the loveliest dog-friendly spots in the Yarra Valley – the team at P&P are all local so know all the best pet-friendly wineries and cellar doors where you'll be welcomed like friends. Choose from a bunch of lovely lunch options from gourmet picnics to a pet-friendly cafe or winery lunch where your pooch will be welcomed with open arms. And, after lunch, being dog owners themselves, Hels & Jeff love taking you to their favourite dog-friendly parks, to have a sniff and stretch your legs. They'll find gorgeous winery decks for you to sit on as you drink in the views (as well as the local wines). And they are renowned for not taking themselves too seriously – their best selling tour is called the Dog's Bollocks tour where you don't put your hand in your pocket all day long, you get upgraded to a winery lunch, are gifted a free bottle of wine at the end of your tour, your pup gets a hand-embroidered bandana to wear and keep and then to top it off, they write a hilarious dog blog for you about your tour and send it to you along with all the pictures from your day out! All Pooches & Pinot tour guides are local, dog-owning, fun-loving types - so you're guaranteed a pawfect day out - with some wine, gin, beer, cider AND... your pooch.
