Clayton Academy LLC was established as a response to the crisis families experienced from remote learning and closed schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Clayton Academy LLC has been popping up learning pods since August of 2020. The original learning pods, or small groups of students in the same grade level, were in one neighborhood and focused on serving the local elementary school and families. There were 5 small groups working out of a neighborhood church enabling the students and staff to adhere to strict safety protocol while kids were able to socialize and parents able to work.Since the students in the original pods chose to return to school when they were able, Clayton Academy LLC evolved into a consulting service focusing on Popping-Up Learning Pods in other places. Out of the generosity of a real estate developer, small groups are now operating in affordable housing properties with families who chose to continue with remote learning. Clayton Academy offers consulting as well as "Getting Started" and "Make it Official" packages for the DIYers.
