Welcome to the Populuxe — Retro Soda and LampsLocated in the Northrup King building in Northeast Minneapolis, studio 148 on the first floor.Back in the 1950's the term populuxe was used to describe popular luxury, which included elements from the space age, futurism and mid-century modern design.Using elements from this era as well as the industrial age, I produce artworks with this intention. Populuxe, to me, has multiple meanings, which one can break the word up and see "Pop" and "Luxe" or "Lux". Light and Soda!
