The birth of the Port Harcourt Literary Society (PHLS) is significant because it falls in line with the city's growing status on the world stage as an important literary destination. The Society is envisioned as an association of persons interested in the promotion of literature and the reading culture.The Ultra Modern Library has a 50-Seater E-Library, a 100 seat children's library, a 20 seat research library and a general adult section that accommodates 180 persons. There are a children's nap room, activity room, and other modern facilities.To all individuals, corporate organizations, local businesses, Local, State, and Federal Government bodies, we invite you to become a sponsor. Sponsorship can occur both through cash and in-kind sponsorship.
