We were founded in 1997 by Paul Timmons, Mark Johnson, James Shepherd, and Phil Payne (all people with disabilities) for the purpose of creating a national celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act which resulted in the Spirit of ADA Torch Relay in the summer of 200 which passed through 26 cities. Since we have hosted a number of conferences designed to foster community building among people with disabilities. We have also engaged in several post disaster relief projects specifically focused on people with disabilities. Not only do we provide unduplicated services....that is our hallmark. We do the things others are not addressing.
