Although my painting style is realistic, I find that by loosening the over all painting it becomes a more impressionistic piece of art. My objective, is to have a painting become something to be treasured, and passed down from one generation to the next.A popular request is for composite paintings created from your favorite photos. A family portrait can be painted from many different photos. This type of portrait can usually tell a story.I will study them to determine if the lighting on each will be compatible in the finished piece. I will also do a photo shoot at your convenience, and this will give me control over lighting, etc.When asked to create posthumous portraits, I approach this with great care and consideration in order to capture the true personality and essence of the subject. These portraits are usually of great comfort to the client.
