POSCO Engineering - Tuwairqi Steel Mills Limited (PEN-TSML JV) is merger of two Steel giants for undertaking mega projects in Asia & Middle East region in general and Pakistan in particular. POSCO: POSCO Engineering is a general construction company established in December 1994, aiming for a global engineering & construction company based on expert engineering technologies, know-hows, and man powers with skills and experiences from the integrated steelworks of POSCO which has one of the world-wide competitiveness in iron works. TSML: Tuwairqi Steel Mills Limited (TSML) is a state of the art environment-friendly steel manufacturing project which is based on the world's most advanced Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) technology of the Midrex Process owned by Kobe Steel of Japan. With a designed capacity to produce 1.5 million tons of high-quality DRI per annum, TSML will be the largest private-sector integrated steel manufacturing unit in Pakistan.
