Power for the People (UK registration 1162330) was founded in 2015 to kickstart sustainable development in communities categorised as multidimensionally poor by UNDP through food security programs; access to clean water and electricity; education and healthcare; economic regeneration; and sustainable livelihoods. Our programmes offer access to education, clean water and electricity, food security, and sustainable livelihoods. We offer "handshakes-not-handouts", investing in communities so that beneficiaries can pay for what they need. Their payments go towards further development of their communities. Clean technologies and solar-powered electricity form the enabling backbone of our projects. We are staffed by a core team of industry-expert volunteers who work closely with beneficiaries and selected local delivery partners to design and deliver projects.
