The Power of 100 concept is simple. We bring together professional women from around the region to create a giving circle. At our quarterly events, you simply show up, toss your name—along with the name of your favorite local charity—into a bowl. Three names are chosen, the three women "pitch" their charity, then we all vote. Once the votes are in, we each write a $100 check to the chosen charity. When you combine the power of a network with the power of giving, the impact to our community will be significant. #networking #philanthropyHOW IT WORKSWe meet once a quarter to learn about local charities while enjoying refreshments and light snacks. Any charity that is a 501(c)3 is eligible to benefit from donations given by members of The Power of 100-DC.When you attend, you may nominate any qualified local charity. If your charity is selected by the attendees, you will be given a few minutes to talk about your charity's mission and why you are passionate about it.FOUNDING MEMBERSCatherine Bertram, Crystal Deese, Lisa DiMonte, Elisabeth Hayes, Kelly McLaughlan, Liz Rogan, Candace Smith-Tucker and Natalie Walker
