The Power of Positive Music Movement (PoPMM) is a movement inspired by the recent events in mass media that have built mental walls and poisoned society. Music has always been a powerful tool to bridge relations between communities and bring about a universal message for change. There were songs like "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye /"Mississippi Goddam" by Nina Simone/ "Man In the Mirror" by Michael Jackson that sparked thought-provoking conversations making way for understanding. We all would like to live in a world where we can feel safe and it has to start somewhere. Artists/ Entertainers have to be the catalyst for this change we so desperately want to see. The PoPMM will challenge artists and musicians in all forms to produce art with a positive message. Also, challenging program directors & radio hosts to play music with this positive message. We plan to promote songs that display this message with the hashtag #PoPMM. This is something that everyone stands to gain from.
