Powergrid was established in 2011 and specializes in the design, development and implementation of innovative solutions that meet the needs of Utilities adopting the concepts of smart grid. Among those solutions are the new technical and business applications required to cope with the introduction of smart grid to monitor and control communications and metering infrastructures, energy management, renewables integration and to process enormous amount of information generated by the low voltage distribution grid in real time with distributed intelligence in the network. The Utilities future will be based in big data and complex events processing in real time and Powergrid can help them to uncover insights and value from massive amounts of data.
