For a rapidly growing nation that is poised to become a $5 trillion economy by 2024, this is both a strength and a challenge.A Strength because the nation can leverage the young & energetic population to fulfil the human capital needs of the growing economy - known as the Demographic Dividend.A Challenge because the Education System in the country is archaic with heavy emphasis on theoretical and factual knowledge based curriculum and evaluation. Due to this, there is a huge gap created between the needs of the fast growing Economy and the Education System.While the nation is making good efforts to bridge this existing gap, Industry4.0 is making strides with advancement in technologies and bring about rapid changes across all walks of life - driven by Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Robotics, Industrial Automation, etc. So there is great opportunity for us to bridge this gap between the Industry & the Academia, and we believe that addressing the gap right from the School days is highly essential to prepare children for University and life beyond. Unless we build a Research & Exploratory mindset in Children from School days, it is difficult to make them adapt that mindset at University level.
