Praesidia Insurance Brokers is a new brokerage, established in August 2020, under the directorship of Regina (Reggie) Strydom and Michiel Loubser.Regina has been working in the insurance industry for close to 40 years, for companies such as AON, Regent and Trident where she was employed as the Claims Manager for a broad scope of covers, including commercial and personal lines, but also has extensive experience working with Goods In Transit and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, in the last 10 years, specialising in the perishable marine export market.Michiel has recently returned from the UK where he worked in market research as an Insight and Data Analysis manager for companies such as Coca-Cola and Danone, with a focus on efficient supply chain management and identifying opportunities for category growth.Praesidia currently holds agency agreements with Santam, SHA, Renasa, Hollard and Genric. We are also in the process of negotiating with a number of additional underwriters to expand the markets we have available to our clients, as we believe in providing our clients with the opportunity to make informed decisions from a broad selection of insurers.We have worked closely with companies such as Anderson Transport, Bosman Transport, Hestony Transport, Delecta, Goedehoop Vrugte, AS Viljoen, Mouton Citrus, The Fruit Route and Trucape, and pride ourselves on providing a 7-day-a-week service, as we recognise that accidents don't always wait till after the weekend has gone by.Reggie is available to train your staff on all areas of Marine Export insurance, including the ins and outs of Incoterms and the various methodologies available in calculating claims.
