Prani – The Pet Sanctuary is an one of its kind experiential education park. An initiative of Into the Wild, a Bangalore based start-up that focuses on outdoor experiential education. We have tie ups with 150+ schools and NGOs across Bangalore, where we have day visits and we take students around the farm which is a home to 400+ rescued animals and birds. The students are given a 3 hour tour where they get detailed information about the animals and birds under the supervision of the team where they can touch and feed our animals. Information with interaction leaves an everlasting impression on these kids. We believe a kid whose brain is developing and bubbling with curiosity and imagination should be exposed to experiences of the natural world. We can be the change where a kid can experience the beauty of the world beyond competition and teach them about skills and making them realize how world would be a better place if we started collaborating than competing. In a world that is driven by technology that is building a world of virtual reality and interactions, we at Prani want to break those very concept and want everyone to understand how our ecology works and imbibe in them a sense to build our natural habitat and compassion towards other species to whom this earth equally belongs to.The Prani team comprises of boys and girls who are in their teens and early twenties who have started contributing to the conservation and preservation of wildlife in such an early stage in their life. The team comprises of budding herpetologists, ornithologists and interested in aquatic ecosystem. We also have visiting volunteers on the weekends to learn and help in Prani. These healthy challenges teach our youngsters the real problems and the survival skills that the poor rural India experiences. You need to be passionate about outdoors and have compassion for animals to sustain in this team.
