Prasanna Autism Centre had been a long-cherished dream and a vision of Mrs. Padmaja Godbole. The main objective has always been to undertake and monitor all such activities, which would help to improve the general awareness of the society at large to treat children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and counsel the parents. Prasanna aspires to be a centre unique in it's ways and methods in helping parents and professionals understand and manage Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Prasanna works daily with children suffering from ASD, their families and other concerned individuals. This would be done in the local (state) language as well as in English. The centre shall pass on it's experience and expertise - through training and consultancy - by visiting various rural schools, organizations, institutions at the city, state and national level. An Outreach and Family Support Programme (FSP) is also provided at Prasanna. Over the years, Prasanna has been able to build up strong rapport with the local government, education offices, mainstream pre-primary, primary and secondary schools, training institutes etc. A specialized service for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) provides a cornerstone for all PAC's activities. Workshops, conferences, articles, publications are the various means of creating awareness among the general public.
