Prayas Youth Foundation is pioneer Non-Governmental Organization working since 2010 consistently to increase the green cover and combat climate change throughout the country. We vision to re-establish the balance between all the existing habitats and making a cohesive environment for all species and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).With a sincere intention to improve the environment in city, we have conducted more than 100 plantation drives and planted around 2 Lakhs trees. Also focusing on minutes, we have been collecting seeds from existing trees and reusing them for further plantations. All the plantations are grown with organic fertilizers and are taken care till they become self-sustainable. Apart from plantation we have been conducting cleanliness drives, Newspaper collection drives, nature walks, etc. We strongly believe in Youth Power and thus always tried to involve the millennials and conducted awareness programmes. We initiated the concept of Occasional plantation i.e. celebrate any occasion by planting trees. Prayas also coined the concept of "Oxygen Tax", a donation for the oxygen we breathe every second.In last 2 years, we have been successfully leaving our foot print in Corporates by creating Miyawaki forests with 90% sustainability rate. Till date we have made more than 35 Miyawaki Forests that account to cover 14acres+ of land with 2 lakhs of trees of more than 80 indigenous species.We are working at Pan India level with a motive of Nation building in arena of Afforestation I which we make Miyawaki forests, traditional forests, Agroforests. We also work on soil and water conservation and till date we have conserved more than 49cr. Litres of water. Prayas is known for its economic and environmental sustainability.
