Precious Life Foundation Details
Precious Life started as a means to address the root causes behind baby dumping and works to empower women out of such vulnerable positions. The main social issues in Zimbabwe are unemployment, food security and a tradition that can often disenfranchise women.Providing a future for mothers, children and families.The aim of Precious Life is to eliminate baby dumping and unsafe abortions (in Zimbabwe abortions are illegal) by providing support and capacity-building to disadvantaged young mothers, expecting mothers or women identified as vulnerable. This enables them to care for their children and to assist in the placing of already abandoned children in family set-ups, all in order to promote normal development and cohesive community structures in the future.
