PreemieLife was created on the belief that no one should have to have a premature baby alone, without the necessary support. Shelly Perkolup gave birth to a 1 pound 3 ounce son. Throughout her experience, Shelly was lucky enough to have loving support from her family and friends, but she really wanted to talk with someone who had a child just like hers, someone who truly understood, and was intimately familiar with the entire NICU experience. In short, she was looking for someone who had already faced this type of adversity. This was the beginning of Shelly's vision and in 2014, it became a reality when she founded PreemieLife
